About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our esteemed Rehabilitation Clinic. Job Information
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough assessments of patients' medical history, current conditions and treatment goals.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet patients' specific needs, utilizing a variety of massage techniques and modalities.
Provide high-quality massage therapy treatments, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and sports massage.
Adapt and modify massage techniques as required to accommodate patients with varying conditions and physical limitations.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Educate patients about the benefits of massage therapy, self-care techniques and exercises to support their rehabilitation process.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines and relevant legislation governing massage therapy practice.
Stay updated with current research and advancements in massage therapy techniques through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
Completion of a recognised Massage Therapy Program and possession of a valid license or registration as an RMT in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience as a Massage Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or clinical setting.
In-depth knowledge of various massage techniques and their application for different conditions and client needs.
Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and common injuries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and effectively collaborate with the healthcare team.
Compassion, empathy and a genuine desire to help patients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and caseload.
Willingness to maintain accurate and up-to-date records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate patients' scheduling needs.
