Job Information
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, including medical history, range of motion, muscle strength, and functional abilities.
Develop personalised treatment plans based on assessment findings, patients' goals, utilising evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and modalities.
Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and other appropriate techniques to promote pain relief, mobility, strength and functional improvement.
Monitor and evaluate patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options and self-management strategies to encourage active participation in the rehabilitation process.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors, massage therapists, naturopaths and rehab assistants to coordinate interdisciplinary care and ensure continuity of treatment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries, in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
Stay current with the latest advancements in physiotherapy research and techniques, attending relevant conferences, workshops and continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
Current licence or registration as a Physiotherapist and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of Ontario.
Experience working as a Physiotherapist in a rehabilitation setting.
Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions and their respective treatment protocols.
Proficient in performing assessments, developing treatment plans and implementing a wide range of physiotherapy techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
